Man stumps Mumbai female on first date by stealing her diamond ring; read the complete story

In a humorous yet scary episode, a female was defrauded by a guy on the first date.


Yes, this is true, a gentleman ran away with the diamond ring of his so called female friend. The female, who lives in Dadar, got in touch with a male on a well known matrimonial site and become friends a year back and they decided to meet each other personally on July 11.


But, the man was a big fraud and he absconded with her diamond ring on the first date.

The girl lodged a complaint and the Khar police officials are probing the whole episode, which took place at a Carter Road coffee shop.


In her report to the police officials, the female stated that the two met on a matrimonial site and been connected via social network, messages and calls for long 12 months before lastly settling to meet up in personal.

As per cops, the episode took place on July 11 evening, when the female met his so called friend, who had introduced himself as Aryan Patel, met at the café. While discussion, Aryan saw a diamond ring on the female’s finger and began praising the ring how stunning it was, asking her if he could see it. The female was flattered by the admiration, and abruptly gave the ring to Aryan. As the man was supposedly imagining scrutinizing and admiring it, his mobile rang and he pardoned himself in a rush, stating he required to attend the call and would come back in some time, secretly ran off with the ring.


The female had no t even thought that she was being conned and after a while, when Patel didn’t come back and female frightened and started searching him by stepping outside the coffee house, but the man had already fulfilled his objective and ran away with the diamond ring. She then approached the Khar police and registered a complaint against Aryan for running away with her diamond ring.

An official with the Khar police stated, “Based on the woman’s complaint, an FIR was filed on Wednesday morning under section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code. We are in the process of scanning footage from the CCTV cameras in the area to identify the accused and catch him,” reported Mid-Day.
